Inclusive Personal Trainer — Online & NYC

meet your new best friend in the gym

NASM-certified personal trainer in New York City specializing in weight-neutral, sustainable strength training, mobility, and confidence.

Growing up as a dancer, movement has always been a pillar of my life. I performed everything from ballet to hip hop, and this passion led me to the Joffrey Ballet School summer intensive where I fell in love with New York City.

Entering college, I moved away from the arts and picked a more secure career, leading me to earn a degree in finance and accounting. I moved to NYC with the job I thought I wanted, but graduating from college in 2020 forced me to reassess what was important in my life.

Throughout my teenage years, I had a difficult relationship with exercise and my body image. What started as a love for movement turned sour when I became hyper focused on calories burned, eating less, and excessive cardio. It became an unhealthy obsession that I used to control my body and my mind. I knew that experience could be used to help other women navigate the same path.

In December 2021, I closed the CPA textbooks, quit my job, and earned my NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) credential.

I still remember being new to the gym, Googling how to use the machines. I will never forget the friend who taught me her strength training routine. Today, my mission is to be the trainer and friend I needed when I was starting.

My training approach blends strength, mobility, balance, and power to help clients feel capable in everyday life. My goal isn’t just to make you stronger, but to give you the knowledge, confidence, and habits that foster a positive, lifelong relationship with movement.

I've had many trainers over the years, but I've never had one like Maddie. She is flexible and intuitive and most importantly, knows how to handle my chronic health issues in a way no one ever has.

I am a cancer survivor with lymphadema and chronic migraine sufferer. She helps me work with these issues rather than in spite of them and I've never been as successful and consistent with strength training than I have since working with her. She makes me laugh often and helps me believe that I can do it even when I feel like I can't. And somehow, she stays compassionate and engaged when my body lets me know my limits. She knows when to challenge and when to back off. I'm truly in awe of her presence and knowledge. She has a modification for everything! She is also truly body neutral! I will work with her for as long as she'll have me.

Maddie is truly an incredible coach, trainer, and human. I came to Maddie in 2022 having previously been super active, but having a tough time regaining strength post pandemic. I was frustrated and sad for the loss of my previous strength, but Maddie was such a positive force. She helped me find acceptance of where I was, and had the right blend of pushing me and encouraging me as I built back strength, and helped me to become stronger and more agile than I've ever been.

She's opened a whole new world of strength training, and is able to explain extremely well and provides diverse programming to focus on the whole body. She was a champ when I broke my ankle and needed to find a whole new routine, and also try to keep strength up while recovering. I leave every session energized both mentally and physically. Working with Maddie is a bright spot to every week, and I would highly recommend her for both those brand new to strength training all the way to expert level clients. Extremely grateful to move with Maddie!
